Have you got any Reiki stories (please do not use people's names unless you have permission)

I have found that Reiki is more than just a relaxing therapy, I have helped clients with back problems, skin irritations, PMT, as well as grief and 0ther emotional problems.

I have also helped my husband come off anti-depressents, when he suffered a breakdown after the death of our baby daughter, (he was put onto these drugs before I found out about Reiki).

Animal Healing.
You may find that animals are drawn to you more after your attunements, they can sense when someone can help them.
I have had poorly birds at my doorstep (this was before I had cats, so no, they were not "presents" thankfully.) My husband went out and performed healing on the last one we had, although it did not survive ,but at least the little bird died in loving hands .
My latest patient is a little Hedgehog, the children have named him Billy, we found him yesderday morning walking near my door in a wobbly state, so of course he should not be out in the day, which is the first warning sign, I rang the nearest Hedgehog rescue, but they said they are too far away to treat him, so they have given me instructions of how to care for him, anyway, to cut along storie short, I have warmed him up, fed him chicken and egg, plus performed lots and lots of Reiki on him. My hands became very hot striaght away, more my left than the right, so it was mainly the top half of Billy that needed the healing, as that was the position of my left hand.
Last night he nibbled his food and showing signs of improvement, so hopefully I will beable to put him back into the garden.
I will keep you all informed.
If anyone can give me any more advice I would be very grateful. Or if you have any animal rescue stories yourself then please share them.

I've given Reiki to lots of different animals. The most unusual probably was a big frog. I found it in the garden and it was missing an eye and was in a sorry state, we weren't sure whether a bird of somthing had attacked it but had a feeling it was one of our hens. I gave it some Reiki (I beamed it so I didn't have to touch it) and the we moved it to next doors garden where they have a pond and no hens. We never saw it again but hopefully it was ok.
Most animals like Reiki and settle down straight away for their treatment and often fall asleep, even the most restless of pets.

Can you recommend some books on this? I've never heard of Reiki before. I have done some hands on healing. Is it the same thing?

There are many types of healing, but to be honest it all comes down to the fact that we use universal energy and guidance from our higher-self or guides, just different ways of performing healing.

There are many books available, but the one I highly recommend is Essential Reiki by Diane Stein. She is an American Reiki Master and wiccan. The only thing Idon't like about it is the exercise's she recommends to stimulate the Ki (this you will understand what I mean when you see the book) but otherwise it is the best one to buy.

If you decide to become attuned and learn this Ancient art, I would suggest you do it with a qualifide Usui Master who is experienced. My personal veiw is Not to have the attunements by distants as they can be quite powerful and I have had students pass out afterwards or feel quite ill if they have taken in a lot of energy at once, so therefore need a lot of grounding, plus you become and feel more confident with a hands on Teacher. But of course this is only my point of veiw and experience ,I am sure there are others that would not agree, you have to do what feels right for you and trust your Higher-self.

I have been a Reiki Healer for many years and only seen about three clients past life's which is amazing.
You can be certain it is one of your husband's past life's because you could feel the heat. If the chains were just a symbol of how he was feeling, then that would be what you would see, along with his emotions about a situation in his present life.
So to sumarise it, your Guides have made you aware of this past life, because it's effecting his present life so this needs healing in order for him to move on. (This could be on any level)

When I see anything like this, I normally draw the power, then Distant symbol over the person and ask for it to go to the person's past life situation, then draw power, emotional and power symbol again.

How did he feel afterwards? and how does he feel now? plus look for any changes in his life situations
