Connecting with your Guides

Working with your Guides during a healing,is a wonderful magickal momant.
For some healers this can be a gradual thing, the more healing you do on others, the stronger this connection becomes. ( I am planning a workshop to help Reiki Healers connect more to their Guides)

If you would like to work with them, always invite them at the start of your healing.

During the session, listen to the voice within, that gives you an instruction which seems to have entered your mind all of a sudden. A picture may suddenly pop into your mind. You may feel a presence next to you, that also gives you a feeling of love and trust.
This is just the very start of a wonderful journey of discovery together.

Get into the habbit of relaxing your whole body, start with an easy relaxation process of feeling your feet filling with light and relaxing your toes, soothing your ankles, visualise this process all the way to the top of your head, then repeat from feet agin once more. You will now be totally relaxed.

Invite your Guides and Angels to assist with helping you to consciously connect to you Spirit Guide (Only begin with one guide at one time, in order to get to know this Being of light before getting to know the rest of your Guides.)

Switch your Reiki on and proceed as you would with a healing on yourself, place your hands over your Third Eye and visualise all your symbols (if you are reiki 2 or 3.) entering and opening your eye, for all Reiki levels, visualise a shimmering purple curtain opening.

Then be open to any form of connection, this may be touch, smell, pictures in your mind, voice or a deep knowing from within, even a powerful feeling of love.

When you have practiced this a few times start to ask questions, maybe their name, and experience how they comunicate with you.

At the end, Seal in your Reiki and visualise the curtain closing again and end the session as you do at the end of a healing. Thank your Guides for their assistance.

With lots of practice you will very quickly be able to place yourself into this state of relaxation during a healing session on others, and gain your connection with your Guides.

Remember, practice makes perfect.

I don't know who my spirit guide is. I have 4 guardian dragons and a spirit guardian. I used to think my cat was my spirit guide, but I'm not sure. How do I find out?

To connect to your Spirit Guide, just follow the guidlines above but miss out the Reiki instructions, when you have finished (I recommend just 10 mins at most at first) Follow the instructions of closing your third eye again, this is for protection as you would not leave your front door open for anyone to walk through, same goes for third eye.

Wondering if the same spirit guide stays with you all of your life? My spirit guide used to be called Peter, I felt very safe and close to him, now he seems to have gone. Cant seem to connect with any other spirit guides no matter how hard I try. x

Hi Gail, I feel that our Guardian Angel stays with us throughout our life, but I feel we could have more than one Spirit Guide, although not all at once, when one has helped us through one part of our lives, another one will enter as the other leaves. But they normally stay with us for a long time. As far as I know most of us also have other Guides as well,for instance I know my Faerie Guide. As a Reiki healer you will also have Reiki guides who help to assist you in healing so with your level one you may have two Reiki Guides then with your Reiki 2 you may get two extra guides then with Reiki 3 you also have more Reiki Guides to help. Again, when I am healing, I may just have two or three Reiki Guides assisting me depending on my client, but if I have someone with Cancer then my room is full of Guides to assist.

This information is just from MY experience and what I FEEL to be right. So of course this is just my opinion

Have you tryed the meditation I have written above? you may have to do this a few times, but give it a go and you will be surprised by the results.

That is the secret to it, learning to relax your body, then keeping your mind open to just the slightest thing even just a colour is a connection, so don't expect huge things to happen at once, it takes time and a gradual build up.

Okay after reading this, I feel I will have to find and get to know my spirit guide before attempting any healing meditations. I would like to know who my spirit guide is before I proceed with any more indepth meditations. Thank you for allowing me access to this information. I will try this as soon as I feel in a good enough place. right now is not that time.

Hi LostSpirit, Please don't get too concerned, about having to connect to your Guides before you procceed with any Meditations involving them. It really does not matter that you don't know their name. You can call upon them for help and guidance no matter what. Most people work with their Guides for many years before knowing anything about them.
