I envision an age when life in its wholeness can truly be lived, for the practitioners in health may deliver what God designed to be the answer to all physical burdens and problems. This has been blocked for so very long, beloved, by an establishment of materia medica that I tell you, if you were to [be able to] determine the course of life upon earth, you yourself would say that the only way there is to deal with it is to break it and to break its stronghold and break its matrix that does further disease rather than heal it.

Return to the temple for healing and look not, then, upon those who call themselves the ones who come to make whole and yet cannot make whole because they have not the Holy Spirit. I refer not, then, to the blessed physicians who serve as the instruments of the LORD God, but to those who are only administering the chemical antidote for a chemical creation. You may not understand my words, but as you live them you will understand them by and by.

Whatever is used in healing as a material vehicle for the Spirit must be understood as the vehicle and not the healer, whether it is the laying on of hands or the taking of medicine or of herbs or of the alchemy of chiropractic–whatever the means in Matter, it is but the instrument. And unless the physician or the healer endow Matter with the Spirit of the living flame, that healing is not the integration of forces and forcefields for wholeness, but only a temporary alleviation of a symptom that, manifesting on the periphery of life, can be traced to an origin in consciousness and the misuse of consciousness.

I believe card reading in its own way can be a way of healing. Some people come for readings just need someone to talk to and a little spiritual advice. Namaste, Dee/Bridgit Ravenwize

At that moment, I did not have an Attunement in my mind. At least not in the context that I understand 'Attunement'.
Being very right brain dominant, I can find it challenging and even uncomfortable to try to 'explain' such heart-centered occurrences. I'll try. Actually, It begins with intention and the reiki symbols. First I 'treat' myself - the flint which creates the spark which then leaves the limited mental level and grows in the heart center.

If any other thought tries to draw me back to the mind (where the ego is overly concerned with getting things right - which implies the possibility of error), I say to myself, "This Light" or "This Love" or "Thank You"; something very brief and affirming of the Divine.

I ALWAYS invite my Reiki Guides to join me.
(A woman I once treated in person was clearly very confused as she was certain that I had more people in the room working on her.)

Then I say (silently) to the Divine something like, "Take this blessing of healing love is to One who is willing to accept it, in any space and any time."
Really it's not so much put into words, but if I were to try to translate the feeling of the intention, that's sort of how it would go. I acknowledge several of my beliefs about the Divine.
Some of which are as follows:

1. There is really only One of us, and all healing intentions benefit all the seemingly separate fragments of the One.

2. The Divine is not bound in any way to our concepts of time and space. All things past, present, and future occur simultaneously in the same eternal instant. Therefore, if the healing is most required in a past life moment of someone's being, then that is where it is applied... healing the present as a result.

I hope that is enough and also not too much explanation. I hope it makes sense.

I would love to no more about your Attunements by distance, I was always taught by my Masters not to send attunements this way, (I have been taught the Traditional Usui).

Comment by Deborah on December 8, 2008 at 6:21pm: I have an experience that begs to be shared with this group at this time. This occurred several years ago after I had completed the distance healing teachings of my reiki training.
I was laying in bed feeling that I should never conclude my day without sending healing to someone, somewhere. And since I had no specific requests for healing that day, I 'conjured up' a whole-hearted bundle of healing and presented it to the Divine. My intention was for the Divine to take my gift and deliver it for me to somebody, somewhere who is praying for such a gift.
What happened next startled me. As I lay in total darkness holding out the gift, a middle-aged man's face stricken with grief seemed only inches from my nose. His face was lit in brilliant sunlight and as my view panned out, I saw that he was a Turkish man standing amidst earthquake rubble. I felt what he felt. He was nearly numb with grief. My heart swelled with such unconditional love for him, as though he was a baby in my arms.
I thanked the Divine for showing me that she will always deliver my intention to heal and that, at any moment on any day, there is someone, somewhere who is in need of such a 'loving hug'.
As I said, it happened years ago, but I will always remember that powerful moment (in which the Divine actually gave ME a gift I could never have imagined!)
I recommend such anonymous gifting to all my brothers and sisters of the 'healing light force'.... in any way, shape or form. The Divine loves to make those deliveries.
